Formed in 2022 in Bologna, Italy, Miara
performs modern melodic death metal that combines powerful riffs, soaring
melodies, and emotionally resonant songwriting. Founded by brothers Antonio
Grillo (guitar) and Francesco Grillo (bass), the band explores themes of inner
conflict, resilience, and personal transformation through a sound inspired by
the Gothenburg legacy while establishing a distinct artistic identity.
Their debut single, Ascending to Second
Life, quickly attracted attention online, introducing a style influenced by
bands such as In Flames, Soilwork, and At the Gates.
Following their advancement to the finals
of the Wacken Metal Battle Italy 2023, Miara released their debut album,
Hungering Inside, further strengthening their presence within the European
metal scene. The current lineup consists of Antonio Grillo (guitar), Ruben
Sanchez (guitar), Francesco Grillo (bass), Andrea "Gambo" Gambini
(drums), and Roberto "Bob" Renoffio (vocals).
In 2026, the band released five singles,
demonstrating an increasingly mature and recognizable sound. During the same
year, Miara shared the stage with Genus Ordinis Dei and Cryptosis, further
consolidating their reputation as one of the most promising melodic death metal
acts emerging from Italy.
With a compelling balance of aggression,
melody, and atmosphere, Miara continues to advance its artistic vision,
bringing modern melodic death metal to audiences across Europe.
