Red Masquerade are a progressive - nu metal band from Bologna, Italy, formed in 2013. The band originally emerged with a sound rooted in symphonic and progressive metal, releasing the concept album The Seventh Room , inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's “The Masque of the Red Death”. Thanks to this release, Red Masquerade shared the stage with acclaimed acts such as Frozen Crown, Rhapsody, Flashgod Apocalypse, and Temperance, establishing themselves within the Italian metal scene.Over the years, an ongoing commitment to artistic growth and a desire to push beyond their musical boundaries led the band through a profound transformation. A renewed lineup, a completely reimagined visual identity, and a fresh creative vision shaped a project that is heavier, more contemporary, and more distinctive than ever before. Today, Red Masquerade fuse modern progressive metal with djent and nu metal influences, creating a sound defined by crushing riffs, tight grooves, evocative melodies, and cinematic atmospheres. Their songwriting balances aggression with melodic depth, blending technical precision, dynamic arrangements, and emotional intensity into acontemporary musical language.
