Ex Cinere Resurgo is a metalcore band founded in the winter of 2010 in Bologna, growing up on the national underground stages until the 2013 release of their debut album “Ignite,” earning them a European tour in seven countries. The original lineup has undergone several changes and a farewell from the scene. After eight years of introspection and improvement, the two founders, Alessio Roda (Vocals) and Riccardo Zubalich (Guitar), have found a solid and synergistic balance with new members Nicola Ruggeri (Bass), Luca Mingozzi (Drums), and Francesco Venturi (Guitar), achieving an artistic evolution of the project with groove metalcore and progressive influences.

The new album, “The Dark Continent,” released Friday, March 7, 2025, is a fresh and evocative six-track album, rooted in classic metalcore, but with varied influences ranging from progressive to djent in the tighter rhythm sections. Produced entirely in collaboration with Muxland Production (BO) and also available on ATMOS, it represents a new chapter for the band and its return to the scene.
