BIO

Servan music merges north-Italian and European folklore with a modern melodic death metal sound, with the addition of full symphonic arrangements and medieval instruments.

They’re deeply influenced by bands like Finntroll, Eluveitie, Equilibrium, but also Avatar, Children of Bodom, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Kataklysm and Ex Deo.
On 24th of May they released their debut album ‘TALES OF THE FOREST’. It features collaborations with artists such as HeadMatt (from Elvenking) for guitar solos and Catia
Borgogno (from Alight) for some folk instruments and female vocals.
In recent years, they played many live shows in Trento, Milan, Verona, Bergamo and performed at Malpaga Folk Metal Fest, one of the biggest folk metal festival in Italy,
alongside bands such as Mael Mòrda from Ireland, An-Theos from Romania and Wind Rose from Florence.
The “Servan” is the north-italian version of the Changeling (a creature that trolls put in human cradles when they kidnap children at night).
They love the idea of using fairytales to explain the unknown, but also psychological aspects of the human condition.
Storytelling is extremely important for them, underlined by their lyrics and the use of many different vocal registers.
